Hyatt Hotels and Trinity Investments are rebranding the former Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa to Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas, slated for this September. The rebrand will be timed to the culmination of a $64 million propertywide renovation with redesigned guestrooms and villas, an expanded lobby experience, elevated accommodations, refreshed meeting and event spaces, two new dining concepts and a reimagined pool complex with extended cabana offerings.
“The newly renovated and rebranded Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas will introduce guests and members to an elevated level of hospitality,” Susan Santiago, President, U.S. and Canada, Hyatt, said in a statement. “Located in a key destination for leisure and business travelers looking to experience the best of Coachella Valley, the refreshed resort will help guests celebrate magnificent moments and create memorable experiences throughout their stay.”
Guestrooms, Suites and Villas
Grand Hyatt Indian Wells’ refreshed design, overseen by the southern California firm IndiDesign, will reflect the locale. Inspired by the geography and date farms that surround the property, Grand Hyatt Indian Wells’ new look and feel combines a neutral color palette and tasteful wood accents with mid-century modern design elements. The property’s 531 accommodations, including 39 suites, have completed renovations, while 43 one- and two-bedroom private villas, are set to debut by November.
The property will have large guestrooms, with 550 square feet of living space. Guests can choose from various configurations, including one king bed, two king beds and rooms with full-sized bunkbeds. Each room features a multifunctional living space, a spa-inspired bathroom, and a private patio or balcony. The resort’s newly renovated suites also have accommodations designed for families and groups. These suites include a separate living area with a sleeper sofa, a wet bar with a full-size refrigerator and microwave, and dual private balconies. Suites on the ground floor have patios with pool access.
The resort’s villas will be transformed to blend into the desert locale with interiors that layer artisanal details like natural tones and muted hues with new landscaping. Hand-crafted furniture will be mixed with modern decor and artistic lighting fixtures to bring character into each living space. Grand Hyatt Indian Wells’ new villas will have exclusive premium amenities including a private backyard with a hot tub, plunge pool or firepit, kitchenette with refrigerators, access to an adults-only spa and golf-cart escorts around the property.
In late summer, the property will introduce two new restaurant concepts in collaboration with the chef Angelo Sosa.
